THE ESSENCE OF THE WINE
This Crozes-Hermitage is an elegant, fruity, and approachable wine that expresses the full finesse of Northern Rhône Syrah. It combines aromatic intensity, freshness, and suppleness on the palate, in a harmonious and convivial style. It is a wine for immediate enjoyment, ideal for everyday dining, while still retaining a fine capacity for aging.
Tasting
Nose : Marked by aromas of undergrowth and dark fruits, revealing a surprising elegance.
Palate : Tender and harmonious, it delivers a beautiful expression of its terroir. This is carried by notes of freshness, dark fruits, and undergrowth, demonstrating a natural balance.
Advice from the sommelier : Serving temperature: between 14 and 16°C. To be served with cold meats, poultry, roasted meats.
Terroir : The Crozes-Hermitage vineyard is the largest of the Northern Rhône crus. It is located in the Drôme, on the left bank of the Rhône, and borders the Hermitage vineyard to the north (with which it shares similar terroirs).
In its southern, more recent part, the vineyard developed from the 1950s during the major wave of vine planting that replaced fruit crops.
These soils give the wines their fruity expression and characteristic freshness.
Winemaking : Alcoholic fermentation under controlled temperatures. Maceration for 20 to 25 days to extract color, fruit, and structure while preserving the elegance of the wine.
Aging potential : From 5 to 8 years.
Enjoyable in its youth for its fruit and freshness, this Crozes-Hermitage can also develop harmoniously with a few years of aging.
