Successive record-breaking weather conditions throughout the year put the winegrowers' know-how to the test, resulting in a small, high-quality harvest.

The young 2017 vintage red wines are velvety smooth and generous in both fruit and body, while the 2017 vintage whites are aromatic, fresh and lively.

A very cold start to the year in January was followed by a sudden and unexpected rise in temperatures in February. By the end of March, the vintage was off to a very early start. Then the Grenache grapes were affected by coulure, significantly reducing the quantities to be expected.

The summer that followed saw a succession of abrupt and contrasting phases of high and low temperatures, resulting in one of the hottest summers of the last 20 years, although not quite reaching the records of 2003.

A very marked and persistent drought, with 185mm of water compared with 360mm in a normal year, and almost nothing in July and August, further reduced yields.

These conditions only allowed the production of very small quantities, but early and of exceptional quality. This is the smallest volume harvested in forty years.

White wines: fresh, full-bodied and taut, they have the fullness and intensity of great years. Aromas of white flowers and white fruit mingle with green, fresh and woody notes, combined with a very long persistence and floral tension.
