After getting off to a very fast and very strong start, this vintage, which appeared to be early and abundant, became one of the latest in just a few weeks, with the harvest only starting around 16 September. The mild, rainy winter of 2013 was followed by a hot, dry spring. Thanks to ample water reserves, vegetation got off to an early and vigorous start. In July, some plots had to be partially green harvested to calm the intensity of yields. But the summer turned out to be rainy and less sunny than usual, with cool nights. The experience and foresight of the winegrowers in dealing with this turn of events were decisive in producing a fine harvest. Maturation was halted, delayed and irregular. Sorting the harvest, which is compulsory, took on its full meaning and enabled us to harvest very healthy grapes, albeit with below-average alcohol potential.

The red wines obtained are full of finesse and fruit, with fullness on the palate and fine, supple, harmonious tannins. They are now blossoming with the delicate aromas of evolution and the elegance of fine tannins underpinned by a long, elegant freshness.

The white wines are decidedly built on freshness and definition, with an aromatic bouquet of flowers and white fruit that has developed and filled out with ageing.
