A dry, mild winter got the vegetation off to a rapid start. Heavy rainfall in May and June brought this fine momentum to a halt, but without causing any significant disruption to flowering. There was not too much coulure.
The water reserves thus built up, combined with a very hot summer, enabled the grapes to ripen well and regularly. Veraison took place between 1 and 15 August.
Harvesting began in mid-September. Despite a stormy spell, and thanks to the expertise of the winegrowers, the grapes were brought in and sent off for fermentation under excellent quality and health conditions.
The whites are remarkably aromatic, with hints of citrus fruit.
The reds are well-coloured, fresh, clean and fruity. Structured with finesse, they have plenty of freshness and a more pronounced structure than in 1991.
A fine, well-balanced vintage that has reached its full potential.
