Our non-added sulfites cuvée

THE ESSENCE OF THE WINE

Crafted as a Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine with no added sulfites, following a very low-intervention approach, aiming for “the freest and purest expression of Châteauneuf-du-Pape”! An explosion of stewed red fruits. Perfectly balanced, with an endless, opulent, and subtly spiced finish. Decanting is an absolute must!

Nature wine

Tasting notes : This Châteauneuf-du-Pape stands out for its bright, fresh aromas, reminiscent of the harvest. The palate is generously flavorful, offering a wonderfully harmonious balance in a dense, velvety body, wrapped in fine-grained tannins. A gourmet wine to be enjoyed like a treat, purely for pleasure.

Advice from the sommelier : The presence of carbon dioxide from fermentation gives it a slight effervescence upon opening. It should therefore be decanted vigorously.

Serving temperature: 18°C (64°F).

Pairings: Grilled rosemary beef steak, lamb- and olive-stuffed tomatoes…

Grape varieties : 1/3 Grenache 1/3 Syrah 1/3 Mourvèdre

Harvest : 100% hand harvest into small baskets with thorough sorting of the grapes.

Terroir : The vineyards are planted on four types of soils:

  • Rolled pebbles of the Alpine Diluvium, commonly known as “galets roulés,” providing body and structure

  • White-pebble Urgonian limestone, essential for achieving a beautiful minerality

  • Brown soils and safres, contributing finesse and elegance

Winemaking : Careful sorting and blending of the grape varieties before alcoholic fermentation, with punching down of the must. Part of the grapes is destemmed, while another part is kept as whole clusters. Vinification follows a low-intervention, respectful approach, seeking “the free expression of the wine.” No sulfur is used. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks.

Potential of ageing : 5 to 7 years.
