The roundness of white Châteauneuf and the minerality of our Urgonian limestone soils.

the essence of the wine

This Châteauneuf-du-Pape Tradition Blanc is a fruity, vibrant, and luminous wine that combines aromatic finesse with a rounded mouthfeel. It elegantly expresses the estate’s great Calvaire terroirs, offering beautiful freshness, a generous texture, and perfectly integrated oak.

It is an approachable gastronomic white, precise and harmonious, ideal both in its youth and after a few years of aging. A classic and refined interpretation of Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc.

Tasting

Appearance : A bright pale yellow color with green highlights.

Nose : Very fine and expressive, marked by floral notes, accompanied by lightly spicy accents of anise and fennel.

Palate : The wine is round and aromatic, with a vibrant, fresh finish. The oak, discreet and perfectly controlled, adds breadth and roundness without masking the expression of the fruit.

Advice from the sommelier : Best served at 10°C. To be paired with Summer Brandade Ravioli or Patrick's scrambled eggs with truffles ("brouillade")...

Grape varieties : 50% Roussanne, 20% Grenache blanc, 20% Clairette, 10% Bourboulenc

Harvest :  Early Harvest (usually before September 15th) to preserve maximum freshness, except for the late ripening Clairette. 100% hand harvest into small baskets with thorough sorting of the grapes.

Terroir : The vineyards planted with white grape varieties are mainly located on Urgonian limestone soils in the south-western part of the estate.

This terroir gives the wine excellent minerality, which is essential to the freshness, balance, and aging potential of great Châteauneuf-du-Pape whites.

Winemaking : Hand-harvested in small crates.

Traditional vinification including:

  • an initial cold settling
  • low-temperature alcoholic fermentation carried out in tanks (70%) and barrels (30%).

Aging takes place in tanks and oak barrels, in order to add roundness and complexity while preserving freshness.

Potential of ageing : 2 to 5 years.

If you prefer it with a more fruit-forward profile, it is recommended to enjoy it between 2 and 3 years of age. However, it can evolve harmoniously beyond that, gaining in breadth and complexity.
